Objective
A local community organization was hosting a Trunk or Treat event for the Halloween season, so they were in need of a poster that advertised their upcoming event. This poster would encourage younger kids and parents to participate in their event.
Process
Step 1: This was a bigger project, so sketches were needed to help steer this project in the right direction. First, sketches were made on paper to determine the look and layout of the poster layout.
Step 2: After determining the layout from the sketches, I recreated them in Adobe Illustrator using the Pen tool. First, the background color was implemented using the gradient tool, adding a colorful background effect to the design.
Step 3: Next, there was text placeholder added to ensure the required text would fit in the final design.
Step 4: The graphics were then created using Illustrator’s Pen tool and shape tools. The colors were added, and the event information was added in the text placeholders, completing the poster design.
