4th of July Poster

Process

Step 1: This was a bigger project, so sketches were needed to help steer this project in the right direction. First, sketches were made on paper to determine the look and layout of the poster.

Step 2: After determining the layout from the sketches, I recreated them in Adobe InDesign using the grid system to keep the poster organized and consistent. Typography placeholders were applied early in the process to allow the text content to fit on the poster.

Step 3: The graphics were created in Adobe Illustrator using the Pen and shape tools. The graphics were then imported into InDesign.

Step 4: The poster was rearranged to accommodate for the added graphics, and the border was placed around the poster for extra color and shape. The event information was then added in the text placeholders.

Step 5: A crumpled, faded paper texture was added to add the look of a vintage 4th of July event, completing the design.
